Apple offers fix for iOS 4 Exchange syncing issue

Apple logoUsers opting for the Apple iOS 4 update have been reported to face certain syncing issues. Seemingly they were finding it difficult to sync with Exchange ActiveMail, Contracts or Calendars while some Exchange Server administrator servers were running slowly. Apple support reveals that users can now choose to install a configuration profile that will probably resolve their problem.

With this installation, users need not wait for more time for the Exchange Server to sync. They simply need to download this update from their device with the use of Safari. They can also email the attachment to another email account on their iOS 4 devices and tap it to open the attachment.

For installing the profile, all the users are required to do is tap the Install option and enter the passcode if asked. In case the profile is not signed in a warning message will alert them. Users then need to tap the Install Now icon.

After tapping, users are required to switch off their devices and later power it back. They have to then wait for their Exchange data to finish their sync. Users can check the profile which will be listed under Settings followed by General and Profile.

The iOS 4 configuration profile can be downloaded from the company’s official website.
