Apple iRing may serve as a remote to 60-inch iTV

Apple iRing seems to be the Cupertino-based manufacturer’s latest offering, adopting some of the traditional remote’s functionalities to control the purported 60-inch iTV. Although, we suggest this news to be taken with a massive grain of salt since there is no word from the company confirming this bit of information.

Details concerning the television in question have been in the news before as well, but the idea of a finger band doubling as a ‘navigator pointer’ could more or less have the market buzzing with some interest. Brian White, an analyst from Topeka has tipped the folks over at Apple Insider, stating that the monitor extending up to 60 inches should be expected during the latter half of this year.

However, this device will not be entering the realm alone, seeing as White has also let out that there may be a mini version of the same in tow. Now this slate apparently shares its screen size with the full-blown iPad 4, though it will not deliver all the benefits of the tablet. This means people can look forward to a complimentary 9.7-inch gadget together with the television, if rumors hold any credentials.

Using this secondary model, owners may be able to carry out activities such as calling up their folks and carrying out live face-to-face chat along with other functionalities. From what we hear, the mini screen will be able to grasp the content from the TV from as far as 200 meters. Shocking right?

While one mini TV will be tagging along with the whole package, any further additions of such shrunken monitors will lead to potential buyers spilling out extra, says the analyst. He also goes on to mention that a maximum of four such compact devices can be purchased along with the enormous television. Doesn’t sound like good news to a six-member family.

As far as the price details are concerned, the 60-inch iTV when bought with the iRing may amount to a jaw-dropping $1,500. In case people would prefer having extra mini screens, the retail value could run as high as $2,500. While the analyst speaks of the standard size being made available, he states there might be possibilities of 50- or 55-inch displays entering the market as well.
