Apple iPhone 7 series up for pre-order in India

The newly inaugurated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus can now be pre-ordered in India through Apple’s sales partners. The former will be available in the country from October 7 at a starting price of Rs 60000. The company has not released an official statement about the pre-bookings.

Interested buyers can reserve an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus on the website belonging to Apple-authorized reseller for North India, iWorld. The homepage of said company is currently displaying registration links for the phones. You can choose your model and the nearest retail store from which to collect the pre-ordered handset.

Apple’s other sales partner Unicorn Store, has revealed that it is taking bookings ahead of the lineup’s availability in India. The retailer has stores in states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. Jumbo Electronics will start accepting pre-orders for iPhone 7 variants from next week. On the contrary, there is no word from Croma and Reliance Digital about advanced bookings.

These two are among the biggest electronics retailers in the country. The iPhone 6S series apparently did not receive high numbers in pre-orders, which could be a reason for their delaye in taking advanced bookings. A lot of consumers may also prefer buying the devices through ecommerce websites where they think they may get better deals, if not lower prices.
