Android gets Electric Pocket BugMe! sticky notes app

Electric Pocket BugMe! Mobile sticky notes seem to be quite useful when it comes to keeping a check list of things to be done. But what happens when despite these measures, work remains undone? Well, to avoid such situations, Electric Pocket Limited has introduced the BugMe! Sticky note app for Android devices, which ‘sounds off’ when a particular action needs immediate attention.

Android users with the BugMe! Pro application on their handsets can capture quick ink or text notes just by using their finger or a keyboard. Users can add either the regular yellow sticky notes, or choose an image to add as a note. Moreover, users can even click pictures on the spot and turn them into notes, by scribbling reminders on them. The app was earlier released for the iPhone and BlackBerry.

“BugMe! for Android brings the original sticky note app to a new audience, as well as answering the pleas of long-time users who were missing a faithful friend!” comments Iain Barclay, Electric Pocket’s chief products officer.

Users can assign different alarm tones to notes, which will go off the moment the user needs to be reminded of the task. Moreover, users can set a specific time for the alarm to go off, for instance, in 20 minutes, or within an hour. So now, users can set alarms to remind them of catching their favorite show on TV, or meet a friend for coffee. Also, users can share these notes with their friends and family via email or Twitter.

With this application, users can make their emails or tweets more interesting by sending across a scribbled note rather than the regular plain text. The BugMe! Pro application offers a widget so that notes can be accessed from the homescreen itself and even lets users choose LED colors and alarm sounds.

The application is available for Android smartphones in Google’s Android Market at an introductory rate of $1.99.
