There are batteries available for the Palm Pre which help extend its longevity. There is a 1350mAh version and a 1400mAh extended battery as well. All these add extra juice to a Palm Pre’s existing stock 1150mAh battery. PreThinking reports that now there are two new batteries that considerably extend users’ Palm Pre usability.
These batteries, the 2800 and the 3800mAh, have been manufactured by Amzer. They will keep the Palm Pre going for two, or even three days without a single charge. These batteries arrive with their own battery covers as their size adds considerable bulk to the phone. These back covers are currently not touchstone compatible.
When compared with the standard Palm Pre battery, it was found that the 3800mAh is about 3 times the height of the standard battery. The 2800mAh was found to be twice the height of the standard battery. The standard back cover is 4mm thin, whereas the 2800mAh’s is 9mm and the 3800mAh is 15mm. The back cover also looks sturdier and low-priced.
Amzer’s extended battery door cover sports a Piano finish like the standard Palm Pre back cover.
