The Samsung Ativ S price for the UK has been revealed through Clove. The smartphone will be dispatched with the latest WP8 platform that has received a lot of attention by many other devices around the globe.
Diving into the design, the front panel is overshadowed by a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display that puts forth images at a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. On the flip side, an 8MP camera has been embedded and it is accompanied by features such as auto focus and an LED flash.
As a post on the official Clove blog indicates, the Ativ S is the South Korean manufacturer’s first candidate to run the Windows Phone 8 race and it is bound to exhibit features offered by the operating system. For instance, users should be able to resize live tiles on the UI into small medium or large sizes, depending on their preference or convenience.
The force that internally drives the smartphone is a dual core processor with a clock speed of up to 1.5GHz. Apart from offering onboard memory of 16GB and allowing users to expand the external storage capacity up to 64GB with the help of a microSD card, the handset also comes with 1GB of RAM.
As expected, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n as well as includes Bluetooth 3.0. Besides these, GPS with GLONASS and DLNA also exist. A 2,300mAh Li-ion battery is responsible for providing the device with power for its functioning.
The Samsung Ativ S has been made available for the UK at a price of £442.80 through Clove. Expansys claims to pile up the 16GB model in four days and it has put the 32GB variant up for preorder. Customers will have to shell out £459.99 for the former, although the cost of the 32GB device has still not been pin pointed via the e-retailer.
