The URL http://www.amazon.com/apps sprung to life for a very brief period featuring numerous apps, games and tools. Apparently, retailer’s store page was accessible through both desktop and mobile browsers. It displayed over four dozens of apps with price information, although clicking on any resulted in the dismal cropping up of the Amazon homepage.
The various showcased titles and apps include Raging Thunder II, Zenonia, SetCPU, Enjoy Sudoku, PhotoVault, The Moron Test and more. The last time the Amazon Appstore made headlines, it was scoring an ace with Rovio over bringing the insanely popular Angry Birds Rio version on board for Android.
