Shopaholics can now enjoy their shopping via an innovative medium as Amazon.com recently publicized its latest mobile shopping application for Android users known as the Amazon App for Android.
The app is especially designed for Android, brings a fast and handy means to shop on Amazon.com and other merchants. The app incorporates an innovative feature called the Amazon Remembers that enables Android users to use their device’s camera to find and remember products put up for sale on Amazon.com.
“Customers have been requesting an Amazon shopping application on their Android devices and we are thrilled to bring them the Amazon App for Android. In addition to their favorite Amazon shopping features, Amazon App for Android users can use Amazon Remembers to easily keep track of the items they see in their daily lives and even instantly match photos and barcodes to products available at Amazon.com,” stated Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile.
The Amazon Remembers facilitates users to capture a photo of a product or scan a barcode, and then obtain a product match. Matches are instantly found in case of barcode scans and photos. This unique feature is available on the Amazon App for the iPhone and iPod Touch, the BlackBerry, and now for the Android platform. By capturing the images of the product, users can keep track of the products they want to remember. They can also compare prices across multiple merchants, and purchase products from Amazon.com.
Apart from the Amazon Remembers feature, the app also packages Amazon’s 1-Click ordering and Amazon Prime that assist users while purchasing. Users can also track packages or modify orders using the Your Account feature. They can also avail the Gold Box Deal of the Day and access their Wish List through this app.
The app is now available in Android Market and can be downloaded for free. With the Amazon app, users can now shop till they drop.
