Airtel unveils the HTC Magic Android-powered phone in India

Airtel HTC Magic Airtel customers can now access numerous applications through their handsets courtesy the Android platform. Bharti Airtel and HTC have launched a ground-breaking phone called the HTC Magic. This is the first phone in India which is powered by the Android OS.

The platform will enhance the productivity of users along with generating a profit making chance for developers. Developed by the Open Handset Alliance, this powerful platform offers internet-style innovation and openness to cell phones. It offers a huge array of applications and services by optimizing all functionalities of cell phone.

The phone comprises of a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen along with a 3.2 mega-pixel camera. This combination provides the ultimate web as well as multimedia experience through cell phones. This tablet-style handset sports a sleek design and a compact exterior. Users can get a complete and reliable experience by expanding and personalizing their device.

It has arrangements for entertainment and communication with Outlook synchronization and Smart Dialler. This feature allows users to call by dialing the phone number or by dialing the initial letters of the contact. The onscreen keyboard allows users to choose the favorite way to type. The handset also provides predictive text for faster and convenient typing for users. The keyboard enables users to choose the favorite way to type. It also incorporates a trackball with zoom functions. It comprises of fit-the-width rendering option with auto screen rotation. The Portfolio Manager is a mobile client application that gives users a secured and easy to use service platform. It assists investors in the country to manage their profile appropriately. The company also offers 3 months subscription waiver to customers. The Hello Tune Manager allows searching, buying and sharing hello tunes or hello tunes albums by subscribers. This application can be used to send, receive, recommend, rate and more with hello tunes. The company offers free hello tune downloads for one month.

Detailed weather forecasts for the present day and the next 6 days can be obtained through the Weather Channel. Through this tool, users can acquire weather forecast for Current location, favorite location or any other location desired. The Mobshare application provides a chance for users to control, organize and browse mobile images. From a single interface, users can search for contacts, image files, audio files and video files through the In-Mobile Search tool.

They can also search any file starting simply with the query string entered. Customers can view pictures as well as play the audio or video files without the use of external applications.
