Acer Android handset to be launched in September?

Acer Windows Mobile Logo Recently, rumors have sprung up claiming that the A1 handset from Acer may be arriving in September 2009.

The Boy Genius Report states that according to one of its sources, the touchscreen A1 handset which will be powered by Android and will be launched in September 2009. Four handsets namely the X960, the F900, the M900 and the DX900 have already been announced by Acer for the first half of 2009.

Four additional phones going by the names of F1, C1, L1 and E1 are rumored to be released in the second half of 2009. Apparently, the F1 will be a Windows Mobile phone which will be powered by the Snapdragon platform from Qualcomm. There is a possibility that the A1 will be revealed along with the handsets which are going to be released in the latter half of 2009.

Acer has not confirmed these rumors and is yet to announce any of the phones mentioned for the latter part of the year.
