Equipped with a customized personal Closet, the application lets fashion conscious shoppers archive, add and mark out their favorite designs in their virtual cupboards. It even features an Outfit Builder through which trendy self-designers may take items from Closet and mix-match them to come up with a new style.
“With eBay’s Fashion app, we’ve created a unique shopping experience that consumers cannot get in front of a desktop computer, or even in a brick and mortar store,” asserted Steve Yankovich, VP of mobile platform, eBay. “Shoppers can browse the millions of clothing items on eBay’s ‘racks’, build outfits to share with friends and even virtually ‘try on’ clothing without ever stepping inside a dressing room.”
The eBay Fashion app enables users to share their styles with the Social Media Sharing feature through Twitter, Facebook and email. For those who like to deck up with the ‘in’ style, the Virtual Style Gallery would appear to be a boon. This function exhibits almost a fashion show on the homescreen with the latest fashions and trends moving in a slide show format. All fashion aficionados have to do is tap on the set of clothes they liked to find something similar on the Marketplace.
The eBay Fashion Vault lets users access fixed price shoes, clothing and accessories available with exclusive limited time discounts on mega designer brands. With this functionality, shopahloics are expected to never miss out on sales. The app further offers an eBay account which has a fashion centered customized appearance with My eBay (Fashion) as it will be showcasing only fashion listings.
The eBay Fashion App is available for free download from the App Store. The eBay core iPhone application can also be procured on the App Store for free and is available in 190 countries as well as eight languages. The fashion app comes at a time when eBay has made a few exciting additions in its fashion category. The app is all set to alter the way users shop for clothes, accessories and more on eBay.
