The first flash sale of the Xiaomi Mi 4i got over in just about 15 seconds earlier today where a total of 40000 units were made available. That’s quite a small number compared to the inventory Lenovo is putting out, but consider yourself lucky if you managed to secure the device at first try as over 3 lakh people registered for the sale.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i is a bang for every buck as it packs upper mid-range features into an affordable package. Devices with similar hardware would cost you over Rs 17000, but the handset is priced at just Rs 12999. It retains a lot of features from the original Mi 4 including the same gorgeous 5-inch 1080p display and a 13MP camera on the rear.
But instead of a Snapdragon 801 processor, you get a 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 615 SOC clocked at 1.7GHz. Also, the Xiaomi phone flaunts a plastic design in place of metal and it comes in multiple colors. It offers improved software as it packs the MIUI 6 UX with Android 5.0 Lollipop, while every other device from the company in India is still stuck on KitKat.

The Mi 4i even has dual SIM card slots and supports 4G LTE networks. Another highlighted feature here is the battery which is rated at 3120mAh. The biggest downside of the smartphone is that it doesn’t have expandable storage. And 16GB of hoarding space is all you’re going to get.
