LG G4 expected to kick in Snapdragon 808 CPU, launch set for April 28

The LG G4 flagship smartphone which is supposed to be launched on April 28, has been leaked in all its glory and we even have word about its specifications. An underwhelming Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor is expected to be embedded in the handset, while the RAM will go up to 3GB.

If the rumors are true, little has changed in the LG G4 if you compare it to its predecessor. The main camera has apparently been tweaked up from 13MP to 16MP, while the Android Lollipop 5.1 OS arrives out of the box. Last year’s flagship had a Snapdragon 801 SoC with Adreno 330 graphics.

The G4 ignores the faster Snapdragon 810 chipset for the 64-bit hexa core Snapdragon 808 processor. It’s possible this move has to do with the supposed heating issues. There were unconfirmed stories about Samsung having used Exynos instead of the Qualcomm SoC in its Galaxy S6 series for the same reason.
