Flipkart introduces app update for Android Wear devices

Flipkart has updated its mobile app to be compatible with Android Wear devices, which means you can use it on a smartwatch paired to your phone. This is the first time that an Indian online retailer has made an effort to reach the tech-savvy population with such an update to its application. But rest assured, more sellers are going to follow in its footsteps soon enough.

The update will allow users to receive push notifications from the Flipkart app directly onto their wrist and to scroll through their Wishlist too. It’s a very bare-bones version of what the final tool will look like since the company is yet to add more features to it. The software will support devices by Motorola, Garmin and Martian, encompassing the wearable Android platform as a whole.
