DolcendGabbana Sony Ericsson Jalou Fashionistas now have a brand new stylish handset to check out. The special edition Sony Ericsson Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana enables users to stay connected in style.

The handset is packaged with three silky rose satin bags to protect the phone, store the charger, or to carry jewellery. A special Dolce & Gabbana branded headset with gold accents makes it all the more elegant. Dolce & Gabbana’s women Autumn/Winter 2010 runway show along with the footage from all the backstage action is also loaded in the handset.

Moreover, the handset brings stylish themes, wallpapers and Dolce & Gabbana blog that sends the latest trends, news and gossip directly to the mobile phone through an RSS feed. To ensure that users look good, the handset is intelligently designed such that at the touch of a button the screen becomes a mirror. The Jalou is built with a 3.2 megapixel camera with geo-tagging and video recording capabilities. The mobile phone features Google Maps, USB support and A-GPS. The handset also boasts of Walk Mate step counter feature.

“Structured forms, intricate corners, hidden depths and jewel accents are set to be some of the hottest fashion trends in 2010. You can also expect to see deep and natural jewel colours on the runway next year. Jalou and Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana reflect these trends with its delicate facet-cut diamond shape design, clean and expressive lines and variety of different shine and matt finishes, that give depth to the handset,” mentions Charles Hunt, Jalou head designer at Sony Ericsson.

To keep users entertained, it features stereo FM radio and music player with Bluetooth stereo, PlayNow and TrackID functionalities. This Sony Ericsson phone supports 100MB of memory and also includes SanDisk microSD expansion slot. The QVGA main screen is 2-inch that offers 240 x 320 pixels resolution. However, the external screen is 1.3-inch and offers 128 x 36 pixels resolution. The talktime offered for GSM model is around 7 hours and standby time is about 350 hours. While the UMTS devices provides talktime of 4 hours 30 min and standby time of up to 250 hours.

Jalou will be made available by Sony Ericsson, in Q4 2009, in a variety of other gemstone inspired colors such as deep Amethyst, aquamarine blue and onyx black. It will be offered in sparkling rose color in selected markets.
