The coming Monday, that is, December 16 is when the Xolo Play Tegra Note tablet will finally be launched in India as an event has been scheduled to take place on this day. We had first heard about the device in September and it recently went up for pre-order in the country through shopping portals. One of the websites had gone on to reveal the aforesaid date as the D-day, while others just mentioned the third week of this month as its release window.
Here’s a quick recap of what the Xolo tablet brings to the table. Its entire front panel is dominated by a 7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen capable of rendering visuals in 1280 x 800p resolution. The intuitive interface can be attributed to the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS which should also ensure access to the Google Play store.
The device based on the Tegra Note platform makes the most of the Tegra 4 Cortex A15 processor that can clock in a speed of 1.85GHz. It is a quad core processor, but has a fifth battery-saver core as well. 1GB of RAM and a 72-core GeForce GPU have been integrated to assist the chipset.
It provides 16GB of onboard memory for hoarding games and in case it is not enough, users have the option of increasing it further using a microSD card of not more than 32GB capacity. A 5MP camera and a 2MP front-facing webcam have also been tossed into the mix.
The price of the Xolo Play Tegra Note as listed on some shopping portals is Rs 17,999.
