T-Mobile has come clean on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus price and availability details for customers who’d like to pick up a tablet device. Touted to be an extremely slim and light tablet, it runs on a dual core 1.2GHz processor and is embedded with a 7-inch 1024 x 600p WSVGA TFT touchscreen.
Operating on Android 3.2 Honeycomb, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is pre-installed with a suite of Google applications including Google Maps, YouTube, Google Latitude, Google Places, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Gmail and Google Maps Navigation. It gives users a choice of many connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct.
The 345g tablet comes incorporated with the new compatibility zoom mode that optimizes those applications which have not been designed to run on larger display sizes to make them fit in the screen sans any sort of distortion. It sports a 2MP front and a 3MP rear facing camera with autofocus and LED flash.
Jeremy Korst, vice president of mobile broadband and emerging devices, T-Mobile USA stated, “Consumers want a selection of affordable, highly mobile tablets that can deliver the content they want virtually anywhere they go. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a perfectly sized, ultra-thin and lightweight 4G tablet that easily fits in a coat pocket or purse and delivers a rich on-the-go entertainment experience.”
Integrated with the TouchWiz UX interface, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus tries to keep users entertained with pre-loaded apps like the Social Hub, Music Hub and Readers Hub. Furthermore, the device features 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB through the microSD card slot.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus price is $249.99 through T-Mobile stores, after a $50 mail-in rebate, two-year service agreement and 20 interest free monthly payments of $10 on approved credit. It launches on November 16.
