Splatterhouse slated to hit App Store on November 18

Splatterhouse for iPhone

Splatterhouse is said to be a 1988 beat ’em up arcade game which gained a lot of popularity in its heydays. According to touchArcade, the game is going to be launched for the iPhone by November 18, 2010. This title could be the port version of the arcade of the original game in contrast to the rather toned down Turbografx-16 variant.

The game is loaded with seven stages of West Mansion similar to the original one. In addition to those, iPhone gamers can even access an exclusive Splatter Rush mode. In this mode, the protagonist Rick has to combat waves of enemies that are attacking him in a single room, which might be similar to the survival mode.

It is yet unknown if Splatterhouse for iPhone will have Game Center support to keep a tab on online high scores and achievements. The original version was said to be an extremely difficult game, thus we wonder if the iOS variant will be of a similar level.

Splatterhouse is anticipated to hit the App Store by the coming Thursday which would be November 18, 2010. It can be played on both the iPhone and the iPod touch. Gaming aficionados may procure this game for a rumored price of $2.99.
