Samsung is clearly aiming the Galaxy Core at emerging markets, even as the South Korean manufacturer introduces a 4.3-inch smartphone with noteworthy features. We say this because, Smart Stay which had attracted a flurry of attention when it stepped out through the GS3, has reserved a place for itself within the upcoming handset.
With the S4 pushing forth attributes like Smart Scroll and Air Gesture, it is quite understandable that features introduced by the company’s previous flagship will be passed over to comparatively lower-end handsets. For those who may not remember, this attribute maintains the screen’s brightness for as long as users are viewing it.
Additional members seen in the S3 like Smart Alert and S Voice have also paved their way into the phone in question. As cited earlier, the device touts a 4.3-inch touch screen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It grabs a hand full of Android Jelly Bean and gains steam from a 2x processor clocked at 1.2GHz.
The internal storage capacity sums up to 8GB, while the company makes a generous offering by fitting the phone with a microSD card slot that can permit expansions of up to 64GB. Turning our attention to the system memory, we understand that the device will ship with 1GB of RAM.
Whenever users wish to capture a picture or record a video, they could rely on the integrated 5MP camera featuring an LED flash. Beneath the flip side of the gadget measuring 129.3mm x 67.6mm x 8.95mm in dimensions and weighing 124 grams, rests a Li-ion battery that scales up to 1,800mAh.
Not surprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy Core will be setting foot into the market in two variants, namely single and dual SIM. While price still remains a mystery, the OEM has revealed a release window. The model with a single SIM slot can be expected in the month of July, whereas the duos version should be striking stores this month. Considering the manufacturer’s target audience, we believe India to be amongst the countries to witness the launch.
