Saavn for Android has been tweaked to include a new feature which now makes it possible for users to listen to music even when they aren’t online. Saavn had pulled a similar act way back in May with its service dedicated to iOS devices.
If we were to take the company’s word literally, the attribute known as Saavn Pro is the first of its kind across the expanse of South Asia to allow music listening in the offline mode. So this means no ads popping up in between and no interruptions owing to bad connection or expiry of data plan. All songs will be accompanied by a cloud-like icon, tapping which will save that track in the gadget without the hassle of cables or computers.
Unlike the parent app however, this service doesn’t come free of charge. There are two offers that people could choose from. Either users could spill out $3.99 or Rs 220 every month to utilize up to 3GB of space for hoarding songs over 5 gadgets, or they could subscribe for 1GB of music storage on one device and pay Rs 110 monthly in return.
Both these plans will be renewed automatically after the stipulated span. In case users are skeptical about splurging so much without even knowing much about this service, the company lets them try the feature at absolutely no charge for 30 days.
Those who still don’t have Saavn, should note that it can be downloaded through Google Play for Android and iTunes for iOS devices.
