Rogers Wireless and RIM introduce BlackBerry Curve 8520 in Canada

RIM Rogers BlackBerry Curve 8520 Few days back, RIM had introduced the BlackBerry Curve 8520 in some parts of Asia and now the carrier moved northwards to launch the smartphone in Canada along with RIM.

The smartphone presents an intuitive interface and offers easy mobile access to email, messaging and popular social networking sites including Facebook and MySpace. The 8520 features built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) and supports Rogers TalkSpot service that facilitates subscribers to make unlimited Canada-wide calls over Wi-Fi just for $15 per month.

The QWERTY device sports a 2 megapixel digital camera with zoom and video recording capabilities. It packages a 512Mhz processor and 256MB Flash memory. Further, instant messaging with BlackBerry Messenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger is also made possible.

For music lovers, Rogers presents urMusic application that allows users to sideload music for free and also discover, browse and download songs from various artists. The BlackBerry smartphone features a full HTML browser and voice activated dialing.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is available in black from Rogers starting at $99.99 with activation on any combination of a three year voice and data plan with minimum combined monthly service fee of $45 per month from Rogers. The carrier is planning to bring the smartphone in violet shortly.
