Now there’s an app for lovers in a long distance relationship

Long distance lovers who have been dying to listen to their better halves’ heartbeats can do so from miles apart, now that an all new application has been designed to serve this purpose. It is slated to come to the Google Play store as well as the Apple App Store very soon.

Pillow Talk has been designed by some researchers from a company called Little Riot based in London and it has been under development for a long time now. Joanna Montgomery, the founder of the project has been on it since her university days from back in 2010. Its video on YouTube has been pretty popular as well and has managed to catch the attention of over 750,000 viewers across the globe.

So how does it actually work? Pillow Talk is basically a combination of an application and a wristband. This band is primarily responsible for transmitting heartbeats. It picks up the heartbeats of the wearer and makes use of Bluetooth to send it to the phone, while the application has been assigned the task of taking it to the long distant lover. And all of this happens in real time.

You can listen to the sound of your lover’s heartbeats by using headphones or pillow speakers. And as we already said, the application will be available for both Android and iOS platforms. But whether it will come on other mobile platforms or not, is not known.

The guys over at Times of India spotted this piece of news about Pillow Talk application and wristband on a post on PTI. And according to the product’s official website, it will soon make its debut on Kickstarter.
