The Swedish mobile communication company, Neonode has partnered with Swedish rock band Backyard Babies to introduce a limited edition of the N2 touch screen phone. The exclusive multimedia handset will come packed with the complete Backyard Babies album, music video and a bonus track.
Neonode is a name quite familiar in the mobile market for developing touch screen technologies and designs mobile handsets. The company aims at enhancing the user experience related to any consumer or industrial device so that they can benefit from a finger based touch screen solution.
Dregen, Backyard Babies’ lead guitarist, remarked, “The Neonode N2 is a real odd bird compared to its competitors, but that’s just what we like. The N2 has a cool design and an alternative feel. We especially like the rugged black surface and that it has the form factor of an actual dog tag.”
The Neonode N2 sports a 2 mega pixel fixed focus camera, still pictures, stereo sound in headphones, mono loudspeaker, vibration engine, short message service (SMS) and multimedia messaging service (MMS) and more. It also features a MiniSD card expandable up to 32 GB, Neno user interface, MP3 Player, calendar and address book synchronized using activeSync, GSM Quad band 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz bands and GPRS service.
Incorporated with a Chinese XT9 text input interface, the limited edition phone is bundled with Chinese XT9 text input interface.
Available through the company’s online shop, the Backyard Babies Limited Edition Neonode N2 Touch Screen phone sells for about $353.
