HTC Holiday LTE smartphone photo leaks suggest Australia and US release on cards

HTC Holiday LTE

An LTE powered smartphone, image leaks of which suggest it to be the HTC Holiday for now, was recently spotted at the Telstra 4G launch event in Australia. Other reports also suggest that this device will mark the first LTE enabled smartphone for the AT&T in the United States.

According to reports by Cnet Australia, this device is expected to be officially released in Australia by the network operator Telstra in the first half of 2012. The decision about its general naming in Australia is yet to be finalized as the Holiday moniker is first hand title for company purpose. Upon launch in the United States, it is expected to be better known as the HTC Raider 4G. Recently, a handset of the same name was also released in Korea.

If the images are believed, this handset appears pretty big in size and features are expected to be the same. Judging by the results of its speed tests, the device crosses over 20Mbps download speeds on a cell with seven other video-on-demand streams operating in tandem. Other than this, the prime attractions of the handset include a 4.5-inch touchscreen, a 1.5GHz Dual Core Qualcomm processor, the latest Android operating system and an in-built storage space of 16GB. A bit disappointingly, the HTC Sense 3.0 version does not seem to be keeping up with the latest 3.5 update which was first seen in the recent release of the HTC Rhyme.

Reportedly, the HTC Holiday may be uncovered by AT&T as the Raider 4G within the next few months.
