Flipkart offering 20000 Asus ZenFone handset units for sale online today

The Asus ZenFone series lineup has been a hot seller in India and Flipkart plans to add a total of 20000 units to its inventory today. What’s more, the ecommerce website is also running a promo as part of its extended Independence Day offer where it’s providing 10% cash back when customers use select credit and debit cards to purchase any smartphone from the said lineup.

While 20000 units of Asus ZenFones is quite a large inventory, Flipkart hasn’t confirmed the exact number of Asus ZenFone 4, 5 and 6 devices separately. Considering that the second and third models are out of stock, it’s safe to say that the majority of the new supply might comprise of the 5-inch and 6-inch phones.

Asus ZenFone 6

Asus recently revealed that it’s altering its sales strategy for offering the Asus ZenFone series in India. The company notes that it plans to start selling the handets offline as well, through authorized retailers and will also increase its supply so that there’s no shortage of any handset.

As mentioned above, the ZenFone series comprises of three smartphones which fall in the 4-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch categories. The handsets are priced at Rs 5999, Rs 9999 and Rs 16999, respectively, and all models are powered by dual core Intel CloverTrail+ processors. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is what they run on and updates to KitKat are expected in the near future.

It’ll be interesting to see how fast the new inventory of 20000 Asus ZenFone units gets sold out compared to the same amount of Mi 3s which are expected to go up for grabs tomorrow.
