Destiny’s Child Groove mobile game: Battle it out in a dance competition

Destiny's Groove ChildMusic World, the record label of Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of Square Enix interactive products in North America in conjunction with Sony BMG Music Entertainment have recently announced the launch of the groundbreaking dance battle game, Destiny’s Child Groove. The innovative mobile game is the first to features hits from one of music’s top-selling groups, Destiny’s Child.

Thomas Hesse, president of Global Digital Business for Sony BMG Music Entertainment spoke about the launch, “We are delighted to be working with Destiny’s Child and Square Enix to roll out this innovative new game. DC Groove will give fans a creative and fun way to connect with one of the most phenomenally talented groups of all time, and the opportunity to experience the thrill of state-of-the-art mobile gaming.”

“The beautiful thing about this project is that the main people involved in creating it are youthful. The same goes for the artists, many of their fans, as well as our target gamers. It’s a game for the young, created by the young. I’m confident, this landmark project that expands the casual genre of mobile games, will be a hit,” mentioned Shuhei Yamaguchi, Mobile Producer for Square Enix, Inc.

A rival dance game, Destiny’s Child Groove comprises of popular R&B songs of the multiple Grammy-winning female group. The game is attributed by images of vocalists Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Featuring four songs from the band’s “#1s” album that include “Survivor,” “Bug A Boo,” “Say My Name” and “Lose My Breath”, the gameplay is distinctly blended with music that gets the dance competition going.

Bringing all the action to your mobile phone, the innovative game assures players with great synchronizing music, rhythm and gameplay. Players can battle out A.I. characters with Destiny’s Child Groove taking the form of a back-and-forth dance battle.

Beginning winter of 2008, Destiny’s Child Groove is expected to roll-out nationwide across most major carriers.
