Asus Transformer Book Trio arrives in India for a price of Rs 98,099

The Asus Transformer Book Trio, an extremely multitasker, has arrived in India and the Taiwanese company has priced at Rs 98,099. This three-in-one gadget will be made available towards the end of this month through leading retail channels and authorized stores.

The gadget when coupled with the keyboard dock, can be used as a laptop-tablet hybrid device and the screen itself is a powerful Android tablet on its own. You also have the option of turning into a Windows laptop when it is connected to the dock. And when the accessory is tethered to an external display, it can very well serve as a desktop. Switching between the two platforms is extremely easy as it only requires users to hit a button.

Asus Transformer Book Trio

The screen that independently acts as a tablet is based on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and offers a multi-touch real estate of 11.6 inches. It has an HD 720p webcam as well as a 5MP primary camera and even features 16GB of onboard memory. A 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 19Wh battery have also been thrown into the mix.

As for the dock, it is based on the Windows 8 Pro platform and relies on a 1.8GHz Intel Core i7-4500U CPU and 4GB of RAM. A 500GB HDD can also be found in the accessory that tags along a backlit keyboard and a touchpad. Its 33Wh battery is responsible for keeping it charged for a long usage time.

As we said, the Asus Transformer Book Trio has been priced at Rs 98,099 and will be made available this month itself.
