After gearing up to market the BlackBerry Tour for $199.99 on a 2-year contract, Alltel has launched another phone. The handset is coded as Samsung Glint, according to Cnet. Particularly targeted at cost conscious customers, the device incorporates fewer features as compared to other phones in the market.
This low cost handset includes a VGA camera, stereo Bluetooth and messaging facilities. It incorporates basic multimedia features and comes dressed in pink and blue colors. Weighing 95 g, the handset is 96 x 47 x 19 mm in size. The camera incorporated by the phone is 0.3 megapixels VGA Resolution with Night mode facility.
Sporting 1.90 inches screen with 128 x 160 pixels and 65 536 colors and STN. Other features are Alarm, Calendar, Calculator, TO-DO, Stopwatch, World Clock, Notepad, Converter and Tip Calculator. On the other hand Voice features include Dialing, Commands, Recording and Speaker Phone.
However the pricing and availability of the Samsung Glint by Alltel is kept under wraps.
