TCL Pride T500L with iris scanner, 4G support launched in India for Rs 10499

The TCL Pride T500L has been launched in India, the China-based brand choosing to make the device available exclusively via Snapdeal. It’s been slapped with a Rs 10499 price tag, pitting the phone competitively against other entry-level phones from the country flooding the local market here.

The USP of the TCL Pride T500L is its iris scanner. Users can unlock their device by allowing the front-facing camera to scan their retina. The company claims the phone is the 1st in India to sport this feature, although even the newly launched Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL are capable of opening itself through an eye scan.
