After the A85 handset brought in gesture control, the Micromax A75 Superfone Lite has decided to please fans in India by coupling the same feature with the Android 2.3 OS. It is being put forth by the company as an affordable dual SIM handset targeted at the youth brigade.

Operating on the Gingerbread OS, the device gives access to a vast array of apps in the Android Market, along with other services like Gmail, Google Talk, and more. The A75 is embedded with a 650MHz processor, which is said to offer smooth web browsing and multitasking, along with various other features.

The GSM + GSM handset is equipped with a 3.75-inch capacitive touchscreen and comes pre-loaded with several applications. Saavn lets users listen to music from a vast database without having to store songs on the gadget, while Netqin Antivirus secures the smartphone from probable virus threats.

The phone lets users stay in touch with the latest news while on-the-go through The Times of India online newspaper. It is also graced with Google Voice Search which gets customers through basic tasks like looking for contacts, making a call, browsing the web, and so on by using simple oral commands.

The A75 also boasts of practically unlimited SMS storage and phonebook memory, though we’re not sure of what they mean by that. Accompanied by a 3.5mm universal jack, the device offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and more. It also suffices to capture spontaneous photos and videos with a front as well as a rear facing camera.
