Despite receiving an official recognition in India, the Videocon A42 has yet to make its presence felt through any of the major online shopping outlets. Videocon has crafted the device with a 4.5-inch touch display, across which users can view pictures and videos at a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels.
Running Android 4.2.2 out of the box, the Videocon A42 nabs a dual core processor ticking at a clock speed of 1.2GHz. Catering to users’ imaging needs is a 5MP camera resting on the phone’s rear panel, featuring an LED flash, while a 1.3MP webcam has been fitted on the face to facilitate live video conferences.
Look forward to hoarding content of up to 4GB internally and in case that turns out to be inadequate, a microSD card of up to 32GB can always be slipped into the onboard expansion slot. Some of the handset’s highlights to watch out for include a 1,700mAh battery and connectivity attributes including Wi-FI, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS. The list of pre-loaded apps covers V Store, Fun Zone, Hungama, Skype, Facebook and WhatsApp.
The Videocon A42 offers all of the aforementioned perks and demands Rs 7,490 in return. Whenever it hits stores, it will be made available in hues of white and black.
