Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 ready to debut on AT&T

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10A few days back we reported about Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 gearing up to get additional attributes. Now, according to Engadget, Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 may be launched on AT&T coming July- August. According to them, AT&T has signed up to get Xperia in fiscal week 30 of this year. However, they also quote that there may be a change in plan, as AT&T has previously dropped Sony from the lineup at the last minute.

Despite the rumors, chances do exist that the deal might actually culminate into reality, especially with an 850/1900 MHz 3G version of the phone in existence and AT&T supporting Android. However the relevance of an Android 1.6-powered X10 in the third quarter remains speculative.

The phone comes with certain impressible features. It sports a 4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen and comes with an 8 MP autofocus, LED flash camera. The handset supports A-GPS, Java, MMS, Email, Push email and IM. Xperia runs on the Android 1.6 OS with a Qualcomm OSD8250 Snapdragon 1GHz processor. The phone allows users storage of 1GB internally and also supports microSD memory slot up to 16GB of data. Users can choose from Sensuous Black or Luster White colors for the handset.

So far there has been no word on the pricing or availability of the phone. Till then it’s all wait and watch.
