Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 III lands in India at Rs 114990

The Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 III has arrived in India a month after it was first announced for the US. The camera is aimed at videographers and photographers who are looking to shoot fast-moving subjects at a distance, commonly in places like a sports match or concert.

The Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 III won’t come cheap though, with the device priced at Rs 114990 in India. The big talking about when it comes to the camera is its large-aperture F2.4-4 ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens which covers a wide range of 24-600mm and provides an extended 25x optical zoom.

As for specs, there’s a 20.1MP 1.0-type stacked CMOS sensor with a DRAM chip and a Bionz X image processor. The Sony offering is also capable of focusing on images within 0.09 seconds and shooting 4K videos. It’s been equipped with 8 ED glass elements to make sure the large-aperture lens unit is as compact as possible and chromatic aberrations are down to a minimum in the ultra-telephoto range.

The Cyber-Shot RX10 III also ships with the brand’s own Optical SteadyShot to guarantee non-blurry snaps. The gadget can further shoot slow-motion videos at 240fps, 480fps and a staggering 960fps, useful for capturing athletes in action. Coming to its ruggedness, the camera is apparently dust and moisture resistant to ensure it survives even under tough shooting environments.

You can buy the Sony Cyber-Shot RX10 III through the company’s own centers and Alpha flagship stores across India starting from April 29 at Rs 114990.
