Samsung Galaxy S Initially, Google had baffled Samsung Galaxy S users by temporarily halting the official Android 2.3 or Gingerbread update. The wait is finally over as Samsung has now announced the Android 2.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S as well as the Galaxy Ace, Fit, Gio and mini.

The upgrade will be first rolled out in the U.K. and Nordic countries from mid-May. It is anticipated to be released in other European markets, North America, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and more soon.
