The Samsung Galaxy S Advance is the newest debutante on the smartphone block. With this handset, the Samsung family of Galaxy mobile devices which seems to be an ever expanding one, has received another member.

Fueled by a 1GHz dual core processor, the Galaxy S Advance comes fitted with a 4-inch WVGA 480 x 800p Super AMOLED display. It employs the Samsung TouchWiz user interface and gives owners easy access to a suite of pre-installed Google apps such as Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, Google Calendar and the vast Android Market.

“The Galaxy S Advance adds to the successful track record of the Galaxy smartphone range with a phone that combines power and style with all the versatility of Samsung’s Hub services,” quipped JK Shin, President of IT and Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics.

Users are allowed to capture photos and videos via the embedded 1.3MP secondary camera and the 5MP main snapper with auto focus and LED flash. Running on Android 2.3, the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphone supports Bluetooth v3.0, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n connectivity options. Additionally, it offers an internal storage capacity of 8GB or 16GB which can be expanded up to 32GB by the insertion of a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance release date and price details have not yet been revealed. It is scheduled to be available in Russia from February and soon thereafter, will be released in Europe, CIS, Africa, Middle East, Southeast and Southwest Asia, China and Latin America.
