Samsung Galaxy Premier release date planned for November

The Samsung Galaxy Premier release date has been set for sometime this November with the handset having been announced by the company recently. What may come across as the S3 smartphone in terms of its looks is actually a completely new device that has adopted the visual aspects of the said handset and its S2 cousin.

Equipped with Google’s Android Jelly Bean OS, the Galaxy Premier comes pre-installed with a number of popular features such as S Beam, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Pop-up Play and Best Photo. It carries on its front a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280. On its rear lies an 8MP AF camera which comes with LED flash and kicks in support for 1080 videos at 30fps, while on its front, it holds a 1.9MP HD snapper.

Samsung’s S Voice, Social Tag, Touchwiz, AllShare Cast and AllShare Play technologies also make their way into the phone. With dimensions of 68.02 x 134.2 x 8.99 mm, this handset tips the scales at 130g. It has been fitted with a 2,100mAh battery, while usual connectivity options like WiFi, GPS/GLONASS, NFC and Bluetooth v4.0 can also be found on it.

Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Premier has been announced to have been granted support for 3G and LTE in concerned territories. It will first be launched sometime in November in Russia. Following this, it will make its way through regions like Southeast Asia, China and South Korea. Western launch information and pricing details of the phone are still unknown.
