Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, Pocket Plus, Young and X Cover 2 to debut at MWC?

It seems like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, Pocket Plus and X Cover 2 will be seeing the light of day among some other products from the OEM’s profile at the upcoming MWC. This leak however did not emerge alone, but was accompanied by some of the devices’ concrete details as well.

For instance, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be popping up with an 8-inch touchscreen display and possess a resolution of 800 x 1,280 pixels. Besides being endowed with the latest Jelly Bean OS, it will gain steam from a 1.6GHz quad core processor. It is naturally expected to tag along an S Pen and will be compatible with S Note, S Memo and S Planner.

The dual cameras, a 5MP rear-facing snapper and a 1.3MP front-facing webcam, will carry out activities ranging from taking snapshots to recording videos to allowing live face-to-face chatting. Buyers can hope to find the handset in either 16GB or 32GB storage configurations upon its launch. Other components that cling onto the phone include a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G connectivity and a 4,600mAh battery.

Next up is the Pocket Plus that recently received some attention on account of its leaked press shot. Apart from the fact that it has been optimized for Android 4.1 and not ICS as presumed, most of its specifications stay true to our previous report. Coming to the Galaxy Young, the dual SIM device will be equipped with a 3-inch WVGA display and runs the earlier edition of Jelly Bean.

Chat 226

The interior has been fitted with a 1GHz processor along with a 1,300mAh battery and users should be able to rely on 4GB of internal storage to hoard content. The next handset to sneak out is the Chat 226. This phone bears a 2.2-inch QVGA screen on the upper half of its front panel and at the same time a QWERTY keypad takes over the lower end. Its significant highlights are a VGA camera, BT 3.0 and a 1,000mAh battery.

And finally, the X Cover 2 has also made its way into the open, hoisting a 4-inch WVGA TFT LCD screen, a dual core processor clocked at 1GHz and the Jelly Bean platform (v4.1). It will be IP67 certified which makes it dust-resistant and waterproof. It moreover packs 4GB of inbuilt storage, a 5MP main snapper and a 1,700mAh battery.

Pocket Plus

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 together with other smartphones has popped up with a release window. According to TechnoBuffalo, the 8 incher is due this March. The single SIM variant of the Pocket Plus will be surfacing in January, while we can expect the dual SIM version accompanied by the X Cover 2 in February. The Galaxy Young should land sometime during April and the Chat 226 will apparently carve its way into the market in Q4 of 2013.
