Revamped Gaana.com goes live, fresh UI greets subscribers

Gaana.com, the website that lets users stream music on the internet, has been presented with a completely different look and a fresh interface. The same version is also compatible with tablets, thus facilitating integration across various gadgets.

The refreshed version of the website has been built on HTML5 and claims to tag along some enhanced search features too. This service will now take subscribers’ listening activities in account and will improve the experience for them accordingly. Taking a cue from various such streaming sites, Gaana.com has introduced customized radio stations which are nothing but channels especially created for you after you enter your favorite artist, band, genre or more.

If that’s not enough, users will find editorially curated and celebrity playlists apart from professionally programmed radio streams to make it easier for people to discover new tracks. The music-listening experience on this site will be more social and the company has introduced a set of personalizable attributes as well.

A clean interface complete with lists, menus and drop downs facilitate navigation through the website. You will find tabs for sharing music and adding it to your playlist and an improved search bar has also been suspended on the top right hand side corner of the page. It is intuitive enough to offer suggestions when you punch in names of albums, songs or even artists. The service has the karaoke feature too and it is called SingAlong.

As you may already know, Gaana.com offers a wide selection of songs across various genres and languages including Hindi, Tamil and English.
