Nokia Beta Labs releases Bubbles app, a fun way to unlock phones

Nokia Bubbles

Those who are plain bored with their monotonous mobile phone screens and want to spice things up a bit can look forward to Nokia Beta Labs’ new app dubbed Bubbles. This app is claimed to be a fun and efficient method for accessing shortcuts to various functions.

On a phone installed with this app, Bubbles appear when users select the ‘Apps’ key while their device is in sleep mode. Grabbing a bubble and dragging it to one of the available drop points is enough to perform any particular action. Every bubble represents a corresponding task such as viewing unread messages, missed calls and more.

The bubbles can be dragged to unlock the phone, control the music player or FM radio, change profiles and more. Users can also simply pass their time by throwing the bubbles randomly and watch them bounce back and forth on the screen. In any case the device’s battery is running low, the battery bubble appears to indicate the low power situation.

The new Bubbles app can be downloaded from the Nokia Beta Labs website and appears to be available for the Nokia E72, C7, and N8 mobile phones.
