Microsoft offers a bite on productive capabilities of Mango

Microsoft’s highly-anticipated next version of Windows Phone has sure upped the enthusiasm among committed followers and users in general. The company’s annual TechEd conference for developers and IT pros recently shed light on some more unique capabilities incorporated in the upcoming version, Mango.

The new version is specially designed to quickly and easily help stay connected with people. It includes the Office Hub that helps bring together Office documents such as Word, Excel, One Note, and PowerPoint. Mango has the ability to save and share Office documents through Office 365 as well as Windows Live SkyDrive. In the TechEd keynote, visitors witnessed a range of additional capabilities in Mango that may help users reach a new level of productivity.

The latest version of Windows Phone includes the capability to pin a folder. So an email folder for a specific project, from a specific group or person or an RSS feed set up in Outlook can be maintained. It also features conversation view in email for replying back to emails faster and easier. The server search helps attain older emails that are no longer stored on the phone. Windows Phone customers will also be able to enjoy the Lync experience for instant messaging. The Lync app will be available as a free download from Windows Phone Marketplace.

Additionally, Mango bags in new capabilities for IT. It comes with complex (alpha-numeric) password support, Information Rights Management support for protecting e-mails and Office documents. The Windows Phone version supports access to hidden corporate Wi-Fi networks as well.

The all new edition of Windows Phone will be released later this year.
