Vodafone, one of India’s leading cellular services is now offering local and STD calls at just a rupee per minute. The new scheme is available to Vodafone users at a monthly rental of Rs. 31 per month.
Not long ago, Bharti Airtel, another leading cellular service in India slashed its STD and roaming rates by 43%. Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices are also in the race to please and win more and more service users.
Previously a Vodafone Essar spokesperson was quoted as saying, “The company has always endeavoured to deliver best value to customers and we will offer them the best value in this instance too.” Looking at the latest scheme Vodafone is providing, it seems that Vodafone does not want to lag behind in the race and wants to be known as the best service provider. ‘Customer is the king’ sure seems to be the motto of every service provider.
To avail the latest scheme, users just have to type ALL and send it as SMS to the toll free number 56565. The scheme will be activated after this and users can thereafter call anywhere in India at the rate of Re.1 per minute. The service can be used by both pre-paid and post-paid customers.
