New LG G4 expected to be showcased at company’s April 28 event

With HTC and Samsung both having unveiled their flagships for this year, it’s now the turn of the LG G4 smartphone to make it out into the open, and that is most likely to happen on April 28. Simultaneous events all across the world have just been announced by the South Korean company, and invites for the same are being sent out to the press as usual.

These galas will take place in New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul on April 28. The manufacturer had taken a similar approach while unveiling its G3 smartphone in May last year, which is one more hint that its successor, the LG G4 will indeed be the star of the show.

LG G4 Invite

The invite (via GSM Arena) doesn’t mention the name of the handset however, but it instead goes on to say ‘See the great. Feel the great.’ It can easily be noted that the letter ‘G’ is written in the same font that’s used in the logos of all G series smartphones from LG.

Another thing worth noticing is that there’s a leather surface inthe background of this image. Could this mean that the G4 will ship with leather on its body? Furthermore, will it really bear a curved display as rumors have pointed out? We’ll have to wait a bit to find out if that’s true.

In the meantime, have a look at the leaked specs of the LG G4:

– Display: 5.5-inch, QHD 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution
– OS: Android 5.0 Lollipop
– Processor: Hexa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (64-bit)
