Canadians yearning for a reasonably priced low-end phone, now have an option of exploring a clamshell handset from LG known as the GB250.
The LG GB250 clamshell phone features a 2-inch internal display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution and a 1-inch monochrome display that offers 96 x 64 pixels resolution. The low-end handset also packages a 1.3 megapixel VGA camera and supports Bluetooth version 2.1 + EDR (A2DP). The GSM handset offers a talktime of up to 5 hours, while the 3G model provides up to 3.5 hours. The LG device delivers a standby time of around 16 days.
The mobile phone measures 97.6mm x 48.8mm x 16.9 mm and weighs around 84 grams. The device offers just 22MB of internal memory, but it can be expanded up to 4GB via a MicroSD card slot. Further, it is equipped with an MP3 player as well as FM radio along with handsfree speaker.
The LG GB850 is retailed for $35 with a monthly plan and a two year Fido agreement. The monthly plan with no agreement as well as the prepaid service is made available for $175.
