Box for Android updated to version 1.5

Box For Android

The cloud storage app, Box for Android, has now been updated to version 1.5. This upgrade is said to enhance the process of active sharing and editing files in the application with others. Users of Android tablets and smartphones can easily view as well as keep track of all recent activity that occurred in their account.

Owners of the iPhone and iPad can conveniently manage to remain updated about the activity of their files through the Updates feed which provides them with information from time to time. This feature has even been added to the Android version of the application for enabling device owners to easily manage numerous people and their files, simultaneously.

The updates can be seen directly on the homescreen along with the Box widget which provides users with shortcuts to create or upload new files without having to open the main Box app. Version 1.5 facilitates the addition of documents, spreadsheets, presentations and plain text files on the Create menu via any compatible file editing app.

The revamped app lets Android gadget owners upload content directly to the Box from wherever they can view a file. This feature could be beneficial for users who receive email attachments or download files from the browser. They are now allowed to put them on Box and transmit links in lieu of attaching files in the emails.

The updated Box for Android app can now be downloaded from the Android Market absolutely free of cost.
