BlackBerry 9380, BlackBerry 9790 ready to debut, RIM launches simulators

BlackBerry SDK Simulators RIM is all set to announce the BlackBerry 9380 and BlackBerry 9790 smartphones soon and for the benefit of developers, it has also released beta simulators for the same. The SDKs will help developers optimize applications for the latest BlackBerry OS 7 on which the two new devices will operate.

The two new handsets expected next from RIM are known as the 9380 and the 9790 at present. The 9380 is said to be an all touch device, with a display of resolution 360 x 480p. On the other hand, the 9790 is expected to feature a keyboard interface along with a touchscreen of 480 x 360p resolutions.

RIM has expressed that it would like developers who wish to contribute their apps to the BlackBerry App World, to check out the BlackBerry Developer Zone to learn more about this. Also, developers who express interest may also be able to participate in the launch activities for both these upcoming devices.

For those considering the 9380 handset, they can use the BlackBerry Torch 9800 for testing purposes as the apps will run similarly on both devices. For the 9790, developers may have add touch support to their existing BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone apps or modify the Torch 9800 to cover the landscape falling in a vertical orientation.

RIM has stressed on certain notes to aid developers to prepare completely if they wish to be a part of the launch. The BlackBerry 7 smartphone simulators for the BlackBerry 9380 and BlackBerry 9790 are accessible through the company’s official website.
