The AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II ICS upgrade is finally official, bringing in features like Face Unlock, a new notification bar and more. Just recently, those tying up with T-Mobile for the same smartphone received the upgrade to Android 4.0.

First off, the interface is touted to be more intuitive and fluid for enabling smooth web browsing. A new shortcut called Recent Apps is incorporated within the UI to make for improved multitasking when switching between different apps. Besides, the fresh OS allows convenient management of content with homescreen folders along with a utility to check on data usage.

The upgrade will be offered free of charge when the Samsung Kies Upgrade Program is installed on a PC.Running through the specifications of the second generation Galaxy device, its front panel is dominated by a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen and it is equipped with a dual core application processor. Boasting of a profile trimmed down to 8.49mm, the smartphone features the 3D TouchWiz UX interface.
