Fans of Rovio’s popular bird shooting title now have a reason to whoop an extra cheer in the upcoming festive season of Christmas as the Angry Birds Seasons: Wreck the Halls game recently jumped onto the Android and iOS platforms. The much talked about Angry Birds offering is known to come out with special editions and new features just before festive occasions like Halloween or Xmas.
Angry Birds has become somewhat of an international addiction for most of the smartphone and tablet owners around the world. This new holiday episode is not only available on the two mobile platforms but for Mac as well. An updated version of Angry Birds for Chrome is also in the offing while an upgrade for Symbian^3 is set to follow shortly.
The Wreck the Halls season consists of 25 Christmas themed levels to coincide with the 25 days countdown to Xmas that starts as soon as the month of December begins. The levels feature goodies like gingerbread cookies, bells, twinkling lights and candy canes, reminiscent with the winter festival. Players who make it to the last level will get to see the famous big pig.
Rovio suggests gamers to keep an eye out for new surprises and treats in the title as they progress in the levels. Moreover, the much coveted and most powerful birds, the Mighty Eagle can now be purchased by subscribers of Chrome. With the help of this big bird, players can eliminate pesky pigs in one swoop and collect new Eagle Feather achievements.
The Angry Birds Seasons: Wreck the Halls game is now available at the Android Market and the App Store for a price of $0.99.
