Alcatel OT-E206a breathes in O2

Alcatel OT-E206a O2 takes pride in adding the Alcatel OT-E206a on to their list of handsets. This is the first time ever that an Alcatel phone has been unveiled by O2, the giant of GSM mobile networks in the US.

The new relationship of O2 with Alcatel seems to broaden up the options and provides customers with a variety of handsets to choose from. The Alcatel OT-E206a packs in itself 3G functionalities, dual band receiver, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The sleek phone provides vibration notification, SMS and a battery life of 5 hours talk time and 250 hours of standby which counts to 10 days of standby.

“This new partnership allows us to strengthen our presence in the prepaid arena in the US with a partner that has the desire to grow alongside us,” said Albert Wong, Executive Vice President of TCL Communication Technology Holdings. “We are excited to be working together and have new projects that will shortly be released.”

The Alcatel OT-E206a is set to launch soon in the US market, the price of the phone will be revealed only after O2 sets its prepaid plans in place.
