The Acer Iconia Tab A200 is the new addition to the company’s Tab A series of slates. Powered by the Nvidia dual core Tegra 2 mobile processor, this tablet now joins its other counterparts namely, the Iconia Tab A100 and A500.

Although this Acer tablet will be running on Android Honeycomb, users would be able to upgrade to the new generation Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS for free in mid-February. Adorned with a funky, soft magenta colored pattern on the back, it comes integrated with the GeForce GPU which will allow owners to avail of Flash-based applications, gaming in HD quality and viewing of 1080p video as well as speedier browsing and multitasking.

Acer brings the Iconia Tab A200 to consumers at an affordable price, without making sacrifices on key tablet features such as expansion, connectivity to other devices, HD displays and cameras.”

Sporting a thin titanium gray colored chassis, this slate is pre-installed with Kindle and the Tegra Zone Android app, besides the Acer Social Jogger functionality which brings together social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter in one place for easier access. It employs the Acer Ring interface and boasts of a feature called Screenshot that, as the name suggests, quickly captures articles, Google Maps, pictures of apps, web images and smiling faces in video calls.

The Acer Iconia Tab A200 will be available at authorized electronic stores across USA from January 15. While the 8GB slate is priced at $330, the 16GB variant comes for a price of $350.
