Zync Z605 6.5-inch phablet unveiled in India for Rs 7,999

The Zync Z605 has been launched in India and the company has tagged its price at a modest Rs 7,999, placing it firmly in the entry-level category. It is one of the biggest phablets in the Indian market at the moment, considering that it offers a multi-touch real estate of 6.5 inches on its front panel. The device is slated to be made available via authorized resellers as well as online retailers pretty soon.

The TFT capacitive touchscreen of the Zync device is capable of rendering visuals in 800 x 480p resolution and you can even look forward to dual cameras. A 2MP one rests on the rear panel, whereas a 0.3MP snapper has been fitted on the front to facilitate video conferencing over the internet. It boasts of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS which brings an intuitive interface to the table.

You would expect a huge gadget like this to have a powerful processor under the hood, but you will be a little disappointed to know that it carries a dual core chipset. On the memory front, the device brings 512MB of RAM and merely 4GB of onboard storage. But you do get the option of increasing the onboard hoarding space further by up to 32GB using a microSD card. A 2500mAh battery powers the smartphone and promises to cough up only about 2.5 hours of talk time in the 3G mode though.

The Zync Z605 priced at under Rs 8,000 will be available soon through Snapdeal, Homeshp18 and a number of other retailers soon.
